The Community View: Welcoming the Bulls back
On Saturday 7th March 2026, we hosted newly promoted Bradford Bulls at the BrewDog Stadium. See what the SCDF got up to during the gameday!
SCDF Point of View
Outside the Stadium
We began our afternoon by setting up the SCDF Fanzone outside the Marching Inn, outside the South Stand. Fans came and got involved in the pre-game activities that were on offer. Several non-playing players also came outside to mix in with the fans outside the ground.
Our Saints Angels team hosted another pre-game quiz too for fans around the ground to get involved with to showcase their expertise.
Boots also came outside the ground to mix with fans prior to the game getting underway inside the BrewDog Stadium.
Inside the Stadium
Our Behind the Redvee guests enjoyed a tour around the ground prior to kick off. They met players as they arrived at the stadium, helped with the coin toss and saw them head out for their warmup, amongst other things.
Boots then headed around the ground to begin his lap of the BrewDog Stadium. He got to meet the Bradford Bulls mascot Bullboy for the first time in a while, with it being the first meeting between the two sides since 2014.
Our A Star Saints Angels then performed their pre-game routine on the halfway line, facing the West Stand.
The Community Clubs at the game then brought the flag out onto the pitch to wave before kick off. We had flags waved around the perimeter of the pitch as well, adding to the atmosphere before the game.

As the teams walked out onto the pitch, the A Star Saints Angels stood either side of the two teams as they kicked the game off at the BrewDog Stadium.
During Half-time
We had our Community Clubs get involved in some games during the break around the pitch. Blackbrook Royals, Clockface Miners, Thatto Heath Crusaders, Pilkington Recs, Haresfinch Hawks and Newton Storm all got involved in the action.
All of our Cheer & Dance teams then performed on the pitch during the half-time break at the BrewDog Stadium. They performed a mass dance in the middle of the pitch. Vibrance Dance and Ashleigh’s Dance Academy both joined in with the routine, along with our normal dance groups, as they created a Girl Power Mass Dance.
Match Report
Shane Wright gave Saints an early lead but tries from Connor Wynne and Ethan Ryan, along with a Rowan Milnes penalty had the visitors 4-10 up at the break. David Klemmer also saw yellow for a high shot.
Wynne grabbed his second try earlier in the second half to increase the lead but a quick hat-trick of tries from Curtis Sironen, Kyle Feldt and Tristan Sailor increased the lead. Andy Ackers then gave Bradford the lead, before Deon Cross won it late on for the hosts with a try in the corner. Eliot Peposhi saw red in the second half, with Joe Shorrocks seeing yellow, Saints winning the game 26-22.
