Bespoke Funding Solutions to sponsor ‘Commentary for the Blind’!

The Saints Community Development Foundation are delighted to confirm that Bespoke Funding Solutions will sponsor our Commentary for the Blind!

One of the best-kept secrets within our asset, our ‘Commentary for the Blind’ provides a platform for our Blind and Partially blind spectators to enjoy the full game day experience. By receiving sponsorship and working with people like Paul (Bespoke Funding Solutions) who are passionate about enhancing our community work, we can make sure that we can continue our ambition to make rugby league as accessible as possible to all who want to attend.

Paul Marsh of Bespoke Funding Solutions commented on the announcement:

“We have seen first-hand the work that the foundation does within our community and wanted ourselves to make a telling contribution. We believe that upgrading the systems used by the Commentary team, and receivers used by the spectators, with additional available handsets will undoubtedly make a world of difference.”

“I challenge like-minded companies around the area to do the same and invest their social conscience contributions in one of a host of good programmes being delivered by the Saints Foundation“

SCDF Director Steve Leonard also commented on the announcement:

“I cannot thank Paul and Bespoke Funding Solutions enough and the gesture he has made. From the outset Paul was clear on what he wanted to do. That was to make the experience for the Blind or Partially Blind spectators better.”

“He listened to our plan of action, and the way we are looking at the whole experience including seating arrangements, ticket allocation, access to amenities etc. and in the end, he was convinced that we would make the difference he is seeking. Already we have spoken with three companies to make sure we get the right products to do the job.”

“We have also recruited Vicky who has really been a breath of fresh air, she is taking over on a match day and already has a bundle of ideas to bring forward. I would also like to thank Vicky for giving up her time to ensure our game day experiences keep on getting better. I would also like to echo Paul’s comments on any other companies in and around our area who wanted to do likewise to get in touch and have a talk about the many great programmes we have currently and would love to run.”

We also caught up with Vicky, who works in our ‘Commentary for the Blind’ Programme, which you can listen to here:
