Success for Cowley on Day 1 of Saints Players Association Finals!

Day One of our Saints Players Association Schools Cup Finals took place at the Totally Wicked Stadium yesterday!

Both the Year 7 and 11’s Finals took place on Wednesday 7th May 2024. Cowley International College took on Rainford High, in an entertaining afternoon of Rugby League at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Cowley won the Year 7 Final 16-6, Ray Daniel was Player of the Match from the first game of the day.

The same side also won the Year 11 Final, this time 24-6, making it a double over Rainford High on the day. Olli Pennington was the Player of the Match in Final number two.

Former Saint Gary Wheeler presented the Year 7 sides with their medals following the first game, with James Roby doing the same for the Year 11 Final as Cowley lifted the trophy at the end of both Cup Finals in a great day of action.

Thank you to the Saints Players Association and St Helens Referee Society for their support of the Finals Day.

Later on today, we have the Girls Finals taking place at the Totally Wicked Stadium. First up is the Year 7/8 Final, as Cowley International College take on Hope Academy at 3:30pm. Following that, we have the Year 9/10 Final, as Rainford High take on Hope Academy.
