LDRL to play curtain raiser at Saints v Hull KR clash!

This Friday, before the Saints take on Hull KR at The Totally Wicked Stadium, our LDRL team will open up the evening!

Following on from action at Thatto Heath, which saw the side host their first LDRL Festival, our team will once again be in action on Friday.

The Leigh Leopards will be taking the short trip over to The Totally Wicked Stadium to take part in what should be an exciting, inclusive opening to the clash against the Robins on Friday night.

The side will take to the field in the club’s Daniel Anderson round, as we celebrate and raise funds for our former coach. You can read more on the round here!

The Saints will have 26 players pulling on the Red V, with three different teams set to enter the field representing the Saints! You can see our list of players here:

Steve Leonard, SCDF Director said: “We are immensely proud of our LDRL team, as they continue to go from strength to strength! The Festival at Thatto Heath was a great testimony of where our Learning Disability Rugby League team sit currently.”

“We see a curtain raiser to our first team as the next steps in our development as it will just be us and one set of opponents, a full game on our home turf.”

“It would be a great show of solidarity if our supporters could get here a little earlier to support our LDRL team, as I know how proud they are to play for the club, and to play in front of the wild west stand! To hear your support would make their day, and ours.”

The games will be kicking off at 6pm, running through to 7pm, giving Saints fans plenty time to get in and support the team. We look forward to welcoming Leigh for an action-packed evening of Learning Disability Rugby League!
