Saints host LDRL Game at the Totally Wicked Stadium

On Friday night, prior to the men’s first team game against Hull KR, Saints hosted our LDRL side for a game against Leigh Leopards at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The game kicked off at 6pm, and was played in front of the West Stand. Plenty of fans got inside the ground to get behind the two sides, ahead of the men’s game which kicked off at 8pm.

Saints LDRL Programmes Manager, Barry Diggles said: “Both the Saints LDRL team and Leigh Leopards LDRL teams had an amazing time playing rugby games on the Totally Wicked Stadium pitch in front of fans before both teams came back to hold the flag on the pitch prior to kick off.
The walk around the pitch at half time was amazing, with both teams getting a fantastic ovation off both sets of fans which all the players loved.
Got to say a big thank you to Mike Rush from Saints and Steve Leonard from SCDF for giving us this amazing opportunity once more.”
