SCDF take part in Wargrave Cup!

This year, our SCDF team was once again on hand to go down to Wargrave, and be a part of the Wargrave Cup Festival!

The Festival sees many schools across the borough come down for a day of Rugby League, with a tournament along with many fun activities for the players, such as our passing wall that was set up for the teams to enjoy whilst waiting to play. We had many of our Foundation coaches down to referee, and be a part of the fantastic day celebrating Rugby League within our Schools.

The day saw loads of great Rugby on show, with brilliant skill, teamwork, and passion from all teams, with a great friendly atmosphere throughout the tournament!

At the end of a great day of Rugby, Bleak Hill ran out winners in the final of the tournament as they lifted the shield, with Saints player Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook there to hand out the medals to our winners, along with our runners-up!

A big thanks to Louie for handing out the awards, along with all the schools who took part in a great day of Rugby League, Wargrave for their hospitality, and of course a big congratulations to Bleak Hill Primary School.

We already look forward to our next School’s tournament, after a great day!
