Smyths make huge donation to 2023 Christmas Appeal

Our Partners, Smyths Toys have generously donated £1,000 to the SCDF’s 2023 Christmas Appeal, adding to donations made by the company in previous years!

Saints Foundation would Sincerely like to thank Phil, Amanda, and their team at Smyths Toys St Helens for their continued support of the Foundation Christmas Toy Appeal. All  of the Toys Gifted by Smyths Toys will be going to good causes in our community.

In 2022, Smyths also made a £1,000 donation to our Christmas Appeal, making Christmas for children all around St Helens a better one.

First Team players, Ben Davies and Sam Royle came down and helped us to pick out some presents to buy for the children with the money.

The two spent one hour walking around the store picking out some gifts for children to enjoy this Christmas!

Steve Leonard, Foundation Director stated: “It is fantastic to see such a large company in Smyths, has not lost its feel for the community it sits within. Since day one Phil and his team has embraced what we are trying to achieve, and we cannot thank them enough.

If we can make a difference to the lives of people, especially but not specifically, at this time of year then that works for me. St Helens has it’s challenges but I know with good people such as Phil and his staff working alongside us and other likeminded people, we can make such a difference.

Thanks to all of you who have donated this year, I do understand it is a testing time for us all so thanks a million from us all at the Foundation for taking the time to do so!”

Community Clubs RL Ambassador, Billy Dillon said: “Saints Community Development Foundation would sincerely like to thank Phil, Amanda and their team at Smyths Toys St Helens, for their continued support of the Foundation Christmas Toy Appeal.

All of the Toys Gifted by Smyths Toys will be going to good causes recognised by The SCDF Community Schools and Hospitals in the Area. The support from Smyths Toys had an enormous affect for the SCDF Christmas Toy Appeal!”
