The Regular Season Finale – The Community View

Once again, the Community were hard at work behind the scenes on Friday evening, as Saints hosted Hull FC in their final regular season game of 2023, at the Totally Wicked Stadium!

Despite the adverse weather conditions causing havoc on the day, it didn’t stop the Foundation team from getting to work to make the most of our final regular game of the season!

Just as it has been for every home game in 2023, the team at St Helens Mobile Food Pantry were located outside the Totally Wicked Stadium prior to kick off, as we continue to support our Community together and work for the right for food.

The continuous rain and wind prevented our pre-game rugby, and Saints Angels from taking to the pitch, but they stayed and supported the team as we looked to finish the season well before heading into the play-offs.

This week on the Foundation table, our SCDF Mental Health ambassador Mike Webster, Business Development Manager Ben Hardman & Community Club ambassador Billy Dillon were joined by Liverpool Football Club Foundation, as we enjoyed another brilliant pre & post game experience in the 1873 Lounge!

Before kick-off, in the 1873 Lounge we were privileged to be able to welcome former Saint Tony Burke (#966) to the stage to present him with his Heritage certificate! Chairman Eamonn McManus welcomed Tony to the stage to present with his unique certificate, and congratulate him on a stellar Saints career! You can read all about Burke’s Saints career on his Saints Heritage profile.

Once a Saint, Always a Saint!

Despite the Weather putting a holt to out pre game entertainment, we were still able to welcome over 300 dancers to the sides of the pitch during the interval! Over the past few weeks our incredible Saints Angels team have invited down many local dance schools to take part in a mass dance to celebrate the clubs 150 year anniversary.

Elizabeth Hill Dance School, ERK Dance School, DBO Dance School & Ashleigh’s Dance School teamed up with the Saints Angels ahead of the clubs final regular home game of the season, getting the crowd going with some of the Saints faithful’s favourite songs over the years!

A massive shout out to all our Cheerleading coaches and volunteers who continue to work effortlessly to provide our team with some many opportunities, your work does not go unnoticed!

We now welcome the Warrington Wolves to The Totally Wicked Stadium on Saturday the 3oth of September at 12:45PM, in an elimination final, with a win seeing the side progress onto the South of France to take on the Catalan Dragons!
