Volunteer with our Wheelchair RL Team in 2026

Our Wheelchair Rugby League team are looking for Volunteers to assist with their inaugural campaign in 2026!

The Saints Wheelchair Rugby League Team will compete for the first time this year, having spent 2025 training for the full year in preparation.

We are expected to have at least five home games during the year, with details being finalised before anything is announced publicly.

On Saturday 11th April 2026, we took part in our first ever tournament, the Wheelchair 4’s at Liverpool John Moores University, winning three of our five games on the day.

Throughout the 2026 season, we have a variety of roles on offer for people who are wanting to come and kindly spend their time Volunteering with the team.

Available Roles include:

  • Media Assistants – Support our Head of Media & Communications on Gamedays
  • Equipment Co-ordinator –  Help prepare the teams equipment for home and away games
  • First Aid Support – Help us out with potential injuries on gamedays
  • Gameday Manager – Look after everything behind the scenes on gameday
  • Scoreboard Operator – Update the scores during our home games
  • Tag Collector – Collect the tags during games by running onto the pitch to retrieve them

If any of these roles interest you, or if you have an idea for any additional role that may not be listed, email [email protected] for more information.
