LDSL Team begin training for 2026 campaign

After a long Winter break, our LDSL team has returned to training ahead of a busy year in 2026!

The team have began their preparation for a busy 2026 season, based at Thatto Heath Crusaders’ Crusader Park for their training sessions.

Festivals for the LDSL side in 2026 will be announced in due course, but the Saints side are set to travel the country once again this year.

We are still recruiting players for the upcoming campaign, so if you are wanting to join the team for the 2026 season, please email [email protected] for more information.

Rules for the LDSL games are as follows:

  • LDRL is played on a quarter-pitch with seven-a-side teams. The games are non-contact and generally follow Tag RL rules.
  • Teams are allowed two non-disabled players, who play as facilitators, to ensure the match is both free-flowing and well-balanced.
  • Each game lasts 40 minutes (20 x 2 halves) on a 35m x 50m pitch, which can all be modified at festivals.

Last year, we hosted our End of Season LDSL Awards Evening, sponsored by JR Levins Law, at the BrewDog Stadium. All of our players received certificates for playing during the season with others also winning awards on offer during the night. First Teamers Jonny Lomax and Noah Stephens, alongside Women’s player Naomi Williams were also present at the event.

@communitysaints 🙌 Three weeks ago, we hosted our Kevin Thompson LDSL Awards Evening at the @Brewdog Stadium! Well done to all of our players and staff on a fantastic season. We will see you all again in 2026! 🔜 #Saintsandproud ♬ POP – Camargguinho
