Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook visits Qualitech Reminisce Cafe
We had a special guest pay a visit to the Qualitech Reminisce Cafe on Wednesday morning at the Totally Wicked Stadium!
Having joined from London Broncos, Heritage Number #1186, fan-favourite Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook made his Saints debut in the derby against Wigan Warriors on the 12th February 2011, a 16-16 draw at the Millennium Stadium for Magic Weekend.
He played 372 times for the Red V in total, winning a lot of trophies during his time at the club. In all, LMS won five Super League titles (2014, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), four League Leaders’ Shields (2014, 2018, 2019, 2022), one Challenge Cup (2021) and most notably was part of the successful 2023 World Club Champions side that beat NRL Premiers, Penrith Panthers in Australia.
Louie retired at the end of the 2023 season, having completed his 13th year in a Saints shirt.

He came along and discussed life prior to joining the club, whilst he was in the Red V and what he has been up to since he left the club, as he attends home matches as one of our lounge hosts.
Among the conversation was his start in Rugby League at Harlequins, moving to Saints despite Leeds’ best efforts to have him move to West Yorkshire and does he miss being out on the pitch with the rest of his former Saints teammates.
