Rugby League Development Camps Coming up in April!
With April Half-Term just around the corner, we are delighted to confirm our Saints Development Rugby League Camps dates…
This April, we are pleased to confirm we will have our Saints Development Rugby League Camps will be back for this upcoming Half-Term!
The camp will run through the April Half-Term, with Camp Dates being Tuesday 3rd of April, Wednesday 4th of April & Thursday 5th of April.
The camp is targeted for those ranging from ages 5-12, with both boys and girls welcome to join us, with classes divided into groups based on age to ensure everyone feels comfortable!
Each Day will run from 10AM – 1PM, and will take place on Cowley Training Fields, so it is advised all participants taking part were suitable clothing and footwear for field action!
So what can you expect from our Rugby League Camp this Half Term?
Day 1 of the session will cover some fun ‘Mini Skills and Games’! Our coaches will be delivering a range of ‘Mini Skills’ that our first team squads go under to improve their fundamental skills, and then transitioning into some games to display these improved skills.
Day 2 will provide a ‘Kicking and Catching’ focus, led by Ex-Saint Gary Wheeler, who will be delivering multiple drills on how players can improve both there in game kicking along with goal kicking, along with techniques on how to deal with challenge kicks in both an attacking and defensive situation, ways to better control the ball from a pass and much more!
Day 3 and the final day of the camp will focus on tackling and contact, with drills designed to help all attending learn the best way to make effective contact in a safe and controlling manner, along with learning about the new rules along the way in a fun environment with plenty of games!
Tickets cost just £10 per day, with the opportunity to be coached and learn from some of the best coaches within Community Rugby League limited to 60 per day, so book before it’s too late!
