Saints Past Players join us for Heritage Round!

Last Friday’s Heritage round clash against the Leigh Leopards saw the club welcome many of our Past Player’s to join us as we celebrated our Heritage round!

As we continue to celebrate the 150th year anniversary of the club, many former Saints joined us at The Totally Wicked Stadium for last Friday’s clash, as they took part in the clubs Heritage round fixture.

As the Saints came out to play in the clubs’ Heritage jersey, donning the Brown and Sky Blue jersey for the second time this season, we welcomed our past players to join us on the pitch and form a guard of honour as the current crop of Saints ran out to take to the field ahead of kick-off!

The past players received a great reception from the crowd as they entered to the field, with plenty of familiar faces for the Saints faithful to remember.

We also welcomed Saints number #957, Paul Forber to the 1873 Lounge before kick-off, and to the pitch at half-time, presenting him with his plaque following his recent induction into the Saints Hall of Fame at this years Past Players Association dinner. Paul was handed his award by former Saint and legend of the club Kel Coslett, before taking the the pitch at half-time to receive a round of applause from the Saints fans!

It was great to welcome back so many of our Past Players to the club, along with presenting Paul Forber with his award following his induction into the St Helens R.F.C Hall of Fame.

Once a Saint, Always a Saint!
