Saints to host Tackle Men’s Health workshop
Saints Community Development Foundation and St Helens R.F.C. Champion Men’s Health Strategy with their Tackle Men’s Health workshop.
Saints Community Development Foundation (SCDF), in partnership with St Helens R.F.C., is proud to announce its support for the recently launched Men’s Health Strategy, a national initiative focused on improving health outcomes and access to services for men across the country.
Building on this momentum, SCDF will host a Men’s Health Workshop called ‘Tackle Men’s Health’ on 30th January, aimed at giving men in St Helens the opportunity to share their experiences, voice their concerns, and help influence local improvements in access to health services.
The Foundation recognises that men in St Helens, like many across the UK, continue to face barriers in seeking timely health support—whether physical, mental, or social. By creating an open and supportive forum, SCDF hopes to spark meaningful conversation and drive positive change tailored to the needs of the community.
The workshop will:
- Invite men from across St Helens to discuss what they feel is currently missing in local health provision.
- Gather community feedback to guide future support programmes developed by SCDF and partners.
- Provide a platform for collaborative working, encouraging organisations and local partners to join forces in tackling health inequalities.
St Helens RFC CEO, Mike Rush said: “We fully welcome the launch of the Men’s Health Strategy and the national commitment it represents. As a club at the heart of our community, we are proud to stand behind this work and play our part in tackling the issues men face every day.”
Saints Community Development Foundation Director, Steve Leonard said: “Too many men continue to face barriers when it comes to looking after their health, and it’s time we changed that narrative. At Saints Community Development Foundation, we are committed to creating opportunities that encourage men to speak up, seek help, and shape the services they need. By working together with our partners and the community, we can make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of men across St Helens.”
SCDF and St Helens R.F.C. are calling on men of all ages and community partners, health providers, charities, and local organisations to attend the workshop and help shape the future of men’s health in St Helens.
The event will be held at the Brewdog Stadium on Friday 30th January 18:00-19:00.
