SCDF launch Community Stand at the BrewDog Stadium

The Saints Community Development Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of the Community Stand!

The Community Stand is now recognised as the home of the SCDF at the BrewDog Stadium during gamedays. The South East corner of the BrewDog Stadium is now named the Community Stand, where we will host all of our guests on gamedays.

On Friday night, during Saints’ home clash against Leigh Leopards, we had fans sat in the newly named stand for the first time cheering the side on.

We have a vast majority of things going on during gamedays, with Community Clubs games in particular taking place at half-time at the stadium. Our Saints Angels also have a large numbers of dancers who came to perform on gamedays at the stadium.

Foundation Director, Steve Leonard said: “It was fantastic to see all the hard work behind the scenes come to fruition at the first home game of the season.

“The opening of the new Foundation Stand in partnership with BrewDog, will help us expand our Community Rugby League work.

“We strive to give more young people and their families the opportunity to come along to our stadium and experience a live game. We know once they have been they will become supporters for life, so it is vital we get them in young.

“We understand the barriers within our community but are trying every which way we can to help alleviate these barriers and make ourselves even more accessible.

“Our work in Liverpool is stronger than ever, and we want to expand our offer into the Liverpool region bringing Rugby League to a new audience. Our partnership with the LFC Foundation and the Magic Weekend being in Liverpool this year gives us a great springboard to launch from.

“Thanks, as always to everyone who has made this dream happen and here’s to giving some respite and reward for youngsters who deserve it the most.
