Schools Finals take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium

Earlier on this week, our Schools Finals took place at the Totally Wicked Stadium, with four games taking place across two days!

On Tuesday, we had the Boys Finals Day take place. The Year 7 Final saw Rainford face off against Cowley, with De La Salle facing Cowley in the Year 11 Final.

Rainford won the opening contest 56-0 at the Totally Wicked Stadium, in a ruthless performance from the Inspiresport RFL Champion Schools finalists.

Cowley took home the victory in the second game of the day though. A 12-54 victory over De La Salle.

Moving onto Wednesday, we had the Girls Finals Day take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

We started with the Year 7/8 Final. As Haydock faced off against Rainford. In the closest game of the days, Rainford beat Haydock 10-34.

In the final game of the week, Sutton faced Cowley. Despite a spirited effort from Sutton, Cowley proved too strong and won 10-52.

We would also like to thank the St Helens Referee Society for coming along and officiating during the two days at the Totally Wicked Stadium. The first final of the second day saw the first ever all girls officiated game at our finals day.

We’re back in a few weeks time with our next set of finals taking place at Ruskin Drive.
