SCDF Celebrate World Book Day
SCDF Coaches Jack Hardy and Holly Amadio showed off their costumes for the day, as they got into the spirit of World Book Day.

The two then travelled around different schools in their special outfits for the day as they helped spread the cheer of World Book Day!
What is World Book Day?
World Book Day was created by a company called UNESCO on 23rd April 1995. It is a worldwide celebration if books and reading. The event is celebrated in over 100 different countries worldwide.
World book day took place in England for the first time in 1997, with the plan being to encourage young people to read more.
When is World Book Day?
World Book Day is on the first Thursday of March and is celebrated every year. This year’s was celebrated on Thursday 2nd March 2023.
